If you are looking to get your career started as a Behavior Technician, or have been in the field and are already a Registered Behavior Technician, here are some of the things our clinics look for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of Care Plans:
    • Execute treatment plans as developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).
    • Accurately document all services provided with a signature.
    • Collect, prepare, and update data pertinent to the children under care.
  • Behavioral Observations and Interventions:
    • Record and describe children’s behaviors in measurable terms.
    • Assist BCBAs with assessment procedures.
    • Implement behavioral interventions and reinforcement procedures as directed.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with BCBAs, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and fellow RBTs.
    • Maintain clear communication lines, adhere to professional boundaries, and apply supervisory feedback effectively.

  • Safety and Environment:
    • Provide a secure, supportive environment for patients and their families.
    • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of frequently used areas and materials.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist with office duties such as preparing materials, making copies, and organizing therapy resources.
    • Complete all required documentation according to company standards.

Training and Development:

  • If not already a Registered Behavior Technician, you will be enrolled in a 40-hour course to achieve your certification.
  • Required to complete training and obtain RBT certification within 90 days of employment.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about working with children and committed to their development and care.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

If you are looking to continue your career as a Lead RBT, take a look at some additional requirements:

​Requirements:

  • Must maintain a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (ABA, Special Education, etc.,)
  • Be eligible to sit for the BACB Examination

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Write all treatment plans and assessments/re-assessments using the company template under the supervision and guidance of BCBA
  • Create, edit, and maintain all goals, targets, and teaching instructions in Central Reach under the supervision and guidance of BCBA
  • Serve as a resource for questions and maintain an open-door policy
  • Collect IOA Data (Treatment/Intervention Integrity) and provide training as needed in conjunction with BCBA
  • Collect IOA of RBT Data (Treatment/Intervention Integrity) and utilize as needed
  • Conduct assessments (Reinforcer Assessments, Preference Assessments) and utilize as needed
  • Assist on the floor when needed
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and Office Manager to pair clients with therapists appropriately and assist with scheduling needs
  • Coordinate and assist with pickup and dropoff routine for clients
  • Must have scheduled plan to pass BCBA Examination within
  • Assist Office Manager with interviews as needed
  • Plan, coordinate, and run Circle Time and Social Time as needed
