What is your clinic’s policy on punishment procedures?
Reinforcement should be the only procedure being used! In ABA, punishment is a last resort and any form of punishment must be approved by the parents first. It is only considered in very rare circumstances after every other avenue has been exhausted. If any clinic does not have this same policy, they are not following the ethical guidelines of ABA therapy.
